About Stickley Furniture

What does one say about Stickley Furniture that hasn't already been said. Gustav Stickley founded the company with his brothers Charles, Albert, and later Leopold more than one hundred years ago. By 1900 Stickley created his first pieces of furniture in a style that came to be known as American Arts and Crafts, more popularly know today as Mission.

Stickley Furniture is frequently featured on the Antiques Roadshow. Early pieces of Gustav Stickley's Mission furniture are prized by collectors, a Stickley Sideboard fetching $363,000 at auction in 1988.

Stickley's works are so important that they are the subject of a museum exhibition, Gustav Stickley and the American Arts & Crafts Movement, organized by the Dallas Museum of Art. Also, the Stickley-Audi Company operates a museum dedicated to the works of Gustav and his brothers in Manlius, New York.
